* .PDF Files for all components available HERE.
** The Official GW FAQ is in effect, and thus the Beastmen of Chaos are now a stand-alone army. The FAQ document can be found HERE.
*** with WD287 Revision, available for download HERE. Note that more recent printings of the Dark Elves book already contain the revisions. Also note that the new 7th ed. Warhammer Armies: Dark Elves will be released too close to the event for it to be used. You must use the 6th ed. revised version.
**** Note that you can use the Hordes of Chaos book ONLY with a Mortal General. If you wish to use a Demon character as a general, you must use the Demons of Chaos book. Any demons units used in a Hordes of Chaos army must use the rules and points as laid out in this book, NOT the Demons of Chaos book!
*****List available for download HERE.
Special Characters: The Highlander Rule
Special/Named characters are unique individuals in the Warhammer world. As such, the Highlander Rule applies:
“There can be only one”
The first legal army list submitted with a special/named character will preclude all other players from using that character, once the player's entry fee is paid. If any subsequent lists are submitted with that character they will be returned for revision. If a player submits a list with a special character, then decides to change the list and remove the character, he/she will forfeit their early list submission bonus composition points.
Only Special/Named characters listed in the Official Army books listed above that do not require opponent approval are allowed. No Special Characters from any other source (namely White Dwarf) are allowed. Kislev Allied Contingents and Dogs of War units are allowed. This includes those units listed as Dogs of War in the “Warhammer Armies: Ogre Kingdoms” army book. The Dogs of War and Regiments of Renown rules, which state which armies can field which DOW/RoR units and rules for who can take them can be found at:
http://uk.games-workshop.com/dogsofwar/
Note that Regiments of Renown are also subject to the Highlander Rule above, as they too are unique entities in the Old World.
Remember that ALL lists are subject to review (lists due by Aug. 3rd), and those lists determined to be grossly unpleasant to play against will be either returned for revision or rejected outright. It is Bayou Battle’s philosophy that we do not want anyone’s day ruined by having to face an over-the-top, nasty army. We’d much rather have one person mad at us for not allowing his list than having 5 people mad at us for allowing in an atrocious army that is very unpleasant to play against. Also, while Army Builder is a great resource, it is NOT always perfect. If you are using one of the more obscure lists, you must have a copy (or photocopy) of the original source material. Should questions arise concerning your army and you are unable to provide the original material, any rulings will automatically go against you! If you have any doubts on your list, please submit it early and/or contact us first before spending the time and effort to model/assemble/paint it up.
